WHAT ARE THESE TWO NEW AVENGERS MOVIES?
The Marvel panel at SDCC was thrilling. We got a lot of announcements from revealing the end of Phase 5 and the showing the entirely of Phase 5, but Kevin Feige loves teasing and that’s what he did with Phase 6. He shared the long-awaited Fantastic Four will be the beginning of Phase 6 releasing on November 8, 2024. Feige then shared that we are getting two new Avengers movies in 2025: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty May 2, and Avengers: Secrets Wars on Nov 7. We then leaned the current phase we are in — will end with Secret Wars is called the Multiverse Saga.
Which makes sense as their is already a lot of multiverse going on. In the comics the Secret Wars event was used to streamline the entire multiverse of Marvel Comics together. So that being said this makes sense they want to do this MCU, it will be interesting to see how we get there and what it ends up being like.

What Is Secret Wars?
Secret Wars the 1984 epic crossover was a 12-part series brought together Marvel’s most popular heroes against their worst villains. The series had the all-powerful entity called the Beyonder place the characters on a so-called “Battleworld,” where they would supposedly decide the fate of humanity. The original series was mostly a gimmick to sell toys, but writer Jonathan Hickman took the concept and ran with it in a newer version, back in 2015.
In this astonishing critically acclaimed reboot, the Battleworld was a collection of multiple realities from across the Multiverse, which was ruled by Doctor Doom. Versions have appeared by literally every Marvel character you would think of appeared on the Battleworld, doing battle with each other. All this said it looks like we may get to see this or something similar on the big screen. Secret Wars is a fan loved event and to be able to see play out on the big screen well it’s got me and a lot of fans already excited.

What is The Kang Dynasty?
So we all know Marvel likes to take titles from fairly well known comics and twist them into their own for the MCU, as they did this with Avengers: Age of Ultron. The movie had a totally different story than the comic of with the same name. So I’m thinking will probably see the same with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
The Kang Dynasty done by the great Kurt Busiek. It was 16-part story and arguably one of the best Avengers runs of all time. The plot of the story saw Kang in the present announce his intentions to the UN to take over the world, in order prevent all the negatives futures from happening. I could see something like this happening in the film, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.
